Gujarat Titans had an ideal opening season of IPL and become the first team to win the title in their opening season. They played 14 league matches with ten wins to their name. They lost just four matches and were leading the points table. They beat Rajasthan Royals in the qualifier 1 match and made their way directly to the final where they beat Rajasthan Royals once again. Gujarat Titans had made some key changes in its squad for this season of IPL and they had retained their main players and also added some extra strength in the batting and bowling departments. We can say that Gujarat Titans are a strong team than they were in the previous edition. Hardik Pandya is going to lead Gujarat Titans in this season of PSL. He is fit and is also in good form. His role will be very important in the batting and bowling departments. The batting order of Gujarat Titans is very strong and Shubman Gill will open the batting inning. He had performed well in the recent matches and is in superb form of his life. We are sure that he will continue his good form in this tournament. We are not sure who will be a second opening partner of Shubman Gill.
David Miller is the main batsman of Gujarat Titans. He scored near about 500 runs in the previous season of IPL with a good strike rate and the most number of sixes. He is on national duty and will not be available for this match and this can be a big blow for Gujarat Titans. We think that Kane Williamson will replace David Miller in this match. We think that the batting order of Gujarat Titans will be much dependent on Shubhman Gill and Hardik Pandya. Wriddhiman Saha is a wicketkeeper-batsman in the squad of this team and we are sure that he will be the part of final playing eleven of this match. He was good in the previous season of IPL where he scored 317 runs. Matthew Wade is another experienced batsman of T20 cricket in the squad of Gujarat Titans. Matthew Wade is in good form and he played some best innings in the recently played matches. We are expecting that he will perform well if he gets a chance to play this match. Abhinav Manohar and B Sai Sudharan are also the squads of this team. Gujarat Titans are very rich in the bowling department. They have the best bowlers of the T20 format like Mohammad Shami, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Hardik Pandya, and Yash Dayal. Mohammad Shami is in the best form of his life and performed well in the home series against Australia. Chennai Super Kings are the most successful team in the Indian Premier League they had won the title of IPL three times and were the runner-up teams in five seasons. They failed to give the best performance in the previous season of the Indian Premier League and won just four out of 14 league matches. They lost ten matches and were laying in the second position from the bottom of the points table. They had updated their squad for this team and also had made some smart moves they made in IPL auctions. They had added Ben Stokes to their lineup for this season of IPL. Ben Stokes also announced that he will be part of this edition of IPL. He will play this match as an all-rounder and he is a straight replacement for Dwayne Bravo as Dwayne Bravo has retired from IPL. Robin Uthapppa is the other player of Chennai Super Kings who had been retired and Ajinka Rahane had joined the team as his replacement. Ajinka Rahane is not a professional T20 player and we don’t know why the management of Chennai Super Kings bought him.
The fans of MS Dhoni will see his leading Chennai Super Kings once again. The batting order of CSK is very strong starting at least on paper. Ambati Rayadu, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ben Stokes will be handling the batting order of Chennai Super Kings with MS Dhoni, Moeen Ali, and Devon Conway. Shivam Dube can also get a chance in the final playing eleven of this match as Mukesh Chaudhary is unfit. It is also an interesting point that there are a lot of left-handed batsmen in the batting squad of Chennai Super Kings. Moeen Ali is known as the hard hitter of the cricket balls and we think that he will be promoted up the order. He can put some big runs on the board if he gets some time to adjust on the crease. Devon Conway is another batsman who had a lot experience of playing in the conditions of India. He has a good percentage of dot balls in power play overs and also provides early breakthroughs. Remember that he had taken 43 wickets in power play in IPL. Maheesh Theekshana is another experienced bowler who will be helpful with Deepak Chahar. Ben Stokes, Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube, and Tushar Deshpande are also available to handle the bowling department.
